Coaching Philosophy
My first and main aim is for the children to express themselves on and off the ball. It is important that young people have the confidence in expressing themselves and are not scared and put off by making mistakes. As a coach I like to concentrate on the good things a player does and give praise where possible. Of course it is important to not hide away from player’s weaknesses however with the correct coaching technique and support I am extremely confident I can have an impact on there development both as a player and as a person.
About Me
A highlight of mine would be representing Hereford United U18’s playing against Worcester City U18’S. Unfortunately due to injuries and unfortunate circumstances I was no longer able to play football for a period of time. I am now doing the next best thing and coaching young people, helping them reach there full potential.
I have been coaching football for 7 years in which time I have learnt and developed my coaching methods and techniques. I am a UEFA ‘B’ pt 1 qualified coach and have a Diploma in Sport Performance & Excellence. I have coached at the following places:
• Bristol City Feeder Centre
• Bristol City Football in the Community
• Cheltenham Town FC Centre of Excellence
I am currently working for Oxford United, scouting talented individuals within Gloucestershire. I watch around 20 games per month, selecting the exceptional young talented players.
